Steamboat Ski Area’s 2012-13 Steamboat Free Concert Series

Steamboat’s a great, world-class ski resort. And now with the new stage at the base area, Steamboat Springs brings in some great music and it’s all free.

Steamboat Stage in Gondola Square:

  • Nov. 24 – Dirty Dozen Brass Band
  • Jan. 12  –  Robert Randolph & the Family Band
  • Jan. 21 – Blackberry Smoke
  • April 14 – Leftover Salmon

The Dirty Dozen Brass Band is a New Orleans, Louisiana, brass band. The ensemble was established in 1977 by Benny Jones together with members of the Tornado Brass Band.

Robert Randolph and the Family Band is an American funk and soul band led by pedal steel guitarist Robert Randolph.

Blackberry Smoke is an American Country and southern rock band from Atlanta, Georgia. The lineup consists of Charlie Starr, Richard Turner, Brit Turner, Paul Jackson, and Brandon Still.

Leftover Salmon is a jam band from Boulder, Colorado, formed in 1989. Their unique blend of bluegrass, rock, country, and Cajun/Zydeco, which the band calls “Polyethnic Cajun Slamgrass”, has found favor with the jam band scene.
